Review: My name is Michael Quam and I did my book review on Whale talk. The author of this book is Chris Crutcher.
Some Characters in this book are:
Tao Jones (T.J.)- he was a senior with a huge amount of athletic ability.
His Mother- his mother was a drug addict and gave him up when he was little.
His new parents- They were mean to him and they named him T.J for short.
Summary:
The book Whale Talk is about a high school senior named Tao Jones. His mother was a drug addict and his dad died when he was little. Then his mother gave him up a while after his dad died. Then his new parents named hime T.J for short. T.J has a huge amount of athletic ability, but doesn't try out for any sports because he doesn't like being told what to do by a coach. Soon he is approached about starting a swim team. But does he make it you will have to read the book to find out.
It was a good book but it had a slow start.
I recommend this book to anyone who likes comedy or mystery.

Review: This book is very in-depth. From beginning to end it describes types of engines, troubleshooting,and individual engine components or systems. The book is certainly not a book for someone that does not already have a working knowledge of engines. The tech information and drawings are very confusing. There is little doubt that Mr. Dempsey knows all about engine repair. It is not a book for the average person that wants to learn to repair a lawn mower. If the author's intention was to provide a teaching text--in my opinion, he missed the mark.
