Rating: Summary: A user-friendly, step-by-step, "how to" manual. Review: A legal drawn and valid will is the most reliable way to insure that the disposition of your assets will be allocated as you want them to be upon the event of your death. Less that 25% of Americans have this final financial instrument, leaving the disposition of their estate to the preferences of others and/or the whims of the judicial system. Now in its fifth edition, Attorney Daniel Sitarz's Prepare Your Own Will: The National Will Kit is an inexpensive, authoritative, "user friendly", step-by-step, "how to" manual that comes complete with all the forms, questionnaires, checklists, and sample documents necessary to the construction of a will that will prove valid in all fifty states. Very highly recommended for non-specialist general readers and written in ordinary, totally accessible language, Prepare Your Own Will is accompanied by a CD-ROM containing all the legal forms required and are very easy to fill out using any word-processing program.
Rating: Summary: Prepare Your Own Will: The National Will Kit Review: It is unfortunate that "a reader" from Davis CA bought the version of this book that does not come with a CD. There are two editions of this title; one comes with a CD with the forms and one does NOT come with a CD. The edition without the CD is, obviously, cheaper. If you click on the "Editions: all editions" tab in the listing of any book on Amazon.com, you can determine exactly which version of a title you want.
Rating: Summary: Prepare Your Own Will: The National Will Kit Review: This book had all the basiscs written in non lawyer talk. Forms and examples were clear. Recommended for any one having a need to do a basic will on a weekend day. Read the entire book in a short period of time as some material and examples can be skipped over.
Rating: Summary: A weekend kit for the do it yourself'er Review: This book had all the basiscs written in non lawyer talk. Forms and examples were clear. Recommended for any one having a need to do a basic will on a weekend day. Read the entire book in a short period of time as some material and examples can be skipped over.
Rating: Summary: no CD Review: This edition does NOT include a CD. Based on other reviews, I had assumed that I would receive a CD with fillable legal forms.
Rating: Summary: Prepare your own will Review: Very useful information, makes a will easy even for a novice. And the forms on disk make anyone who can use a word processor their own estate planner. Be aware this book is for individuals who work for a living and don't have complicated estates--they need a lawyer to solve their problems, not this book. But I bet 99% of the public could use this book and never see a lawyer. Very concise and instructive.
