Rating: Summary: A Wonderful Book for Educators Review: I have used this great book in the San Diego State and Wayne State university teacher education programs. It's a wonderful opening to an active, participatory method in teaching social studies. And it is a good reminder to practitioners about what history is, how it is constructed, and who it serves. Students at all levels enjoyed "Doing History." Those looking for ways to promote social agency along with a good grasp of the theory behind historical work will do well with this fine text.
