Rating: Summary: This Book is a Must Review: This book is a must for both social work students and those in practice. While everyone might agree on basic ethical principles, implimentation of those principles is often difficult. This book challenges the reader to develop a framework for making ethical decisions and to consider how that framework might be applied to real situations in professional settings today. Ethical dilemmas are discussed in a wide range of topics and case examples are provided for the reader's consideration. This book provides both the knowledge and analytical tools for assisting all those who struggle with the inevitable conflicts between opposing professional values in their social work pracitice. I found the book to be valuable in teaching me to think objectively and critically in making difficult ethical decisions.
