Summary: The Best Professional Hands-on Teacher Book Ever!
Review: I have used this book for several years and the experience just gets better and better. Today (two days before Thanksgiving 2004) I had students use manipulatives they made to give presentations in front of their class. While the book says grades 1-3, I don't use below second grade and have used it for ESOL students up to fifth grade. We gave presentations on the pilgrims to a third and fourth grade. They manipulatives are made from paper, tape and ribbon. They move and can be looked at from several different angles. Students love to make them and talk about them. I'm doing the Penguin book next and will look for the science/ human body books too.
