Review: Ruth Perlstein and Gloria Thrall provide a practical, concise, and readable source for anyone who is helping others learn the techniques of conflict resolution. I know several high school counselors who are delighted to use this as a text in their conflict mediation courses. Not only are the exercises available to copy and use in a classroom situation, but these exercises represent realistic dilemmas for today's adolescent. There are a large number of role plays and exercises to choose from - including multi-cultural options. Because the text is clearly written and user-friendly, this book is an excellent resource. It is especially useful for teachers, counselors, parents,and youth group leaders.
