Summary: I need a little help to reprogram
Review: Couldn't get all the functions to work. If one of the components worked, you would lose some of the functions on another component. Sony has never been known to produce reliable remote controls. I called the 800# and they walked me through setting up the TV and cable box, but when I tried to program the VCR on my own, I lost all the functions for the TV and cable. It was really frustrating and I wanted to throw the remote out of the window. Seriously consider another remote control.

Summary: This ONLY WORKS WITH SONY
Review: Even though the documentation says it works with items such as CD players , power amplifiers, and the like, it did not work on any of my very standard audio equipment. It worked on the video side including both VCRs, TV, and digital cable box. My guess is that it might be just a video remote even though it has an audio select switch and audio documentation. I called Sony tech support and they gave me a bunch of new codes that also did not work. It was probably designed just to work on video equipment, but Sony decided to market it as both video and audio. My brands of audio equipment includes Yamaha and Onkyo and Teac. Basically this is a waste of money.

Review: i am very dissapointed. i work in an electronic store, the Wiz, andi needed a remote to control many peices of equipment. this did not work with Boston Accustics, phillips, panasonic, Toshiba, Quasar, and Aiwa. that only leaves sony, the only thing this works on.
