Rating: Summary: Spectacular Photography Review: I don't know what impressed me more, the spectacular photography or the effortless and fascinating way Fred Ward helped me understand pearls. He takes the mystery out of buying pearls. I will not buy pearls again without reviewing this book.

Rating: Summary: Newly revised edition is even better. Review: My new Pearls revision is updated with the latest information on saltwater and freshwater pearls and has a number of new color photographs. This beautifully printed all-color book explains the history of natural and cultured pearls, shows how pearls are nucleated and cultured, and describes the quality issues you should understand before buying. Included are color photographs of some of the finest pearls ever found or cultured and the world's great pearl jewelry. This is a book designed both for lovers of pearls as well as first-time buyers. It is a great overview in a small and affordable package.
