Rating: Summary: SHOULD BE REQUIRED READING Review: Too many people in today's hurry-hurry world are NOT AWARE of the LOSS of the majestic, incredibly beautiful creatures featured in this book. I am endlessly angry and frustrated that so many species have been wiped out before I've had a chance to see them alive in the wild rather than stuffed, their colors faded, behind glass in musty historical museums. The scary thing is that extinction continues TODAY as too many people are not EDUCATED about it, they are not AWARE of its devestating finality. This book along with "Extinct Birds" by Errol Fuller should be required reading for everyone in America if not the world.
