Summary: Outstanding
Review: I immediately ordered this book, with great glee. As an ethnobotanist, I find that this book is an invaluable source of information on a topic that has not been systematically covered in my field.

The illustrations are wonderful, the information value of the book is high and I am pleased to have this book in my collection.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Outstanding
Review: This is an extremely detailed academic look at the nature and very definitions of plant resins. Although intended for an academic and industrial audience, it is useful for anyone interested in natural products, botany or simply the amazing wonders of Mother Earth.

As an incense maker, I found this book is an unequaled source of valuable information. Not only have I learned about the resins I've come to depend on in incense, I have been pointed in many new directions that might lead to whole new families of ingredients. Even if you never read a word the author has written, the bibliography alone is worth the price of the book. It stretches 68 pages. That's more than 10% of the book. Quite a valuable asset. It has my highest recommendation.
