Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Excellent Book on Salmon
Review: I recently received this book, after waiting to get it for about 2 months. It is the most informative book about salmon ever, with information on everything salmon. It has few color pictures, but has some very interesting statistics in black and white. Though it does not express a view about the declining salmon populations, I'm sure you can find the reasons in the book. It had a lot of facts, but believe me, it would take a lifetime to read through the whole book.
Why 4 stars and not 5? It was relatively boring. Unlike other books I've read about salmon, this one was developed like a textbook. I recommend it to someone who wants to know everything they can about salmon, not someone looking for some bed-reading.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Still the bible
Review: If you need a single volume that summs up everything concerning salmon biology, this is it. Extensive chapters on all Pacific salmon species. Easy reading and can be a good reference for biology undergrads in university.
