Summary: Great book for getting you started in hiking California
Review: I hiked 5 trails from this book so far, and all of them have been spectacular. The rating and description of the trails are very accurate. I'm currently in the process of planning more hikes from this book. My only complaint is that the map of all the hikes does not contain and road information, so it was a bit of a pain to try to place where exactly the hike is. We were in Yosemite this past weekend, and had to cross reference the trail map to our road map to determine if the trail was nearby yosemite or inside. Other than that, the hikes were great (in the bay area and the sierra nevada). I'm thinking about buying a couple of falcon guide specific to certain places. If you just getting into hiking, I would definitely recommend this book.
