Rating: Summary: Very good information Review: I read this book to use as reference when I was writing a paper on Nepal's conservation practices. This book is one of the most comprehensive ones on conservation practiced through promoting indigenous cultures. It has many examples from Nepal, United States and Australia. It is divided in to case studies, which I thought was a great idea because most of the books include their examples in the text without making a regional division, which makes it really hard for the researcher who looks for specific country studies. I am giving 4 stars because I wished that the author talked more about the theory behind conservation with cultural survival. He mainly concentrates on its implication in several countries. Yet, I found this book as an invaluable source.
