Rating: Summary: Thanks to the Mongolian-American Team Review: The book reflects the shared adventures and joint efforts of an international team. I hope the narrative shows that our Mongolian colleagues led the way and played a crucial role in our success. American media coverage of our project often
tends to be "too American" in its attributions. Science is an endeavor that has always connected an international community in spite of nationalism or political enmity. It will continue to break these barriers in the future
Rating: Summary: Fantastic book! Review: This book brings to the reader the thrill of discovery. Mike Novacek takes you along beside him as he makes some of this century's biggest discoveries and then sends you back in time to the Gobi when dinosaurs, lizards and early mammals lived and died together. If your passion is palaeontology, or you are just merely interested in prehistoric life, this book is a must.
Rating: Summary: Ecellent work of literature Review: This was a great book that kept me turnin gto the next page. I definitely recomend it to anyone interested in dinosaurs and Natural History.
Rating: Summary: Good for armchair travelers and dino fans alike Review: Two books in one: a look at the Cretaceous inhabitants of the Gobi, and an adventure narrative of the archaeological teams that study them. Read this to get a feeling of what it's like to be a field archaeologist in one of the most remote desert areas in the world.
