Rating: Summary: Living on Lesssss- Less is more with this book Don't buy It. Review: Don't waste your money! Buy the first book its great...
Rating: Summary: Not a waste of money, but nor worth $30 Review: If you subscribe to the Mother Earth News, Countryside Magazine, or Backwoods Home -- don't bother buying this book. If you've read your magazines, you know all this stuff already. Otherwise, it is a great compilation of material that a beginner might not know. It's a heavy read, but great if you have a pressing interest in the subject material. It's heavy on the "getting there" and lighter on the "when you've gotten there" info. I've read better books on the subject -- but I've read worse, too.

Rating: Summary: A good book for those stating the process of self sufficency Review: This is a very good book for pointing people twords the path of self-sufficence. It is a general guide book that will allow people to get an idea of the trials and joys to be found in the back to the land movement. It is a starter book. The topics are general, and specic information is left to more specialized manuals. But for those who are beginng to think about taking an alternative to the "rat race" this book should give a good jump start.
