Summary: An essential laboratory reference
Review: I own a copy of this book and keep it at work. It is a great reference for data on Plant Molecular Biology techniques that are difficult to find in one place. It provides information on Plant anatomy, taxonomy, histology, reporter gene sequences and details, vector maps, bacterial strains and techniques involving their use. Most of the data is in table form but the book contains little in the way of actual protocols, an area where references such as Sambrook/Maniatis excel. This is one of the few good wide range reference texts available that specialise in Plant Molecular Biology.
