Review: What an effortless (for me), refreshing way to see the U.S.! Just wish I could have ridden with him part of the trip. My only regrets while reading it were that he left some big gaps in the continent and thought of himself as being an oldster on a trek (since I'm somewhat past that age).

He was successful at bringing meaning into a life experience. It made it that much more personal and it became more than a mere travelogue. As as reader I could see his ministerial past seep through, but it was just a touch or a kiss, not a double whammy.

I hope he writes another because I will read it!
