Summary: Excellent and clearly written
Review: I have read the book from the library and now I am going to order it. It is very clearly written with good illustrations and diagrams also. The author tends to explain things twice using slightly different vocabulary which makes it easier to understand the concept. For example, when he writes about how to bring your boat to a stop (i.e. broad reach and ease out the sail), he has a diagram and explains it twice.

To Author: you should make an instructional video or video series also

Review: I use this book as a handout to my students that range in age from 18 to 70 years old. I like it and they like like it. Easy to understand. Clearly written and well illustrated.

Review: This is a wonderful introduction to the sport. It's a very "user friendly" book with good illustrations and diagrams. Of the many beginner guides to sailing, this is by far one of the best. Highly recommended.
