Review: In this reader, David Macauley competently collects writing from philosophers of ecology all over the philosophical spectrum: phenomenology, critical theory, social ecology, etc. The writings are unique and thorough - Blanke's critique of Marcuse is the clearest I've read, and Whitebook's reading of Habermas is a required text for those progressives that subscribe to theories of liberation without knowing how to include nature. Macauley's own scholarship faces the questions of democracy and ecology. Great book!
