Review: The definitive work on the North American Porcupine. Detailed enough for wildlife professionals, yet simple enough for the layman to understand. Excellent observations.Engrossing text.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Covers More Than Quills
Review: This is a naturalist writing at his best. Uldis Roze does a magnificent job of introducing readers to the porcupine, its habitat, biology, interaction with other animals, folklore, sociology, and much, much more. And he manages to do it all in a style that makes for great reading whether you are a naturalist or just a fan of nature. I laughed out loud several times during the book.
