Review: I really enjoyed this book since I have always been fascinated by Nepal and especially the Himalayas. I find vacations to be times of great introspection and my travels always leave an imprint on my soul. The author of this book lets you see the secrets of her soul as she makes her transition on this journey. She shows you the good and the not so admirable things that happen on an experience such as this. Her use of language is beautifully nuanced and evokes strong images of what it must be like to hike in one of the most awesome and remote areas of the world. I feel that if ever I get to go on a trek, that this book will have helped prepare me.
