Summary: Walter made it easy and exciting !!
Review: I have seen reference of it in several publications and decided to put my hands on it. It's surely is a must for any terrestrial ecosystem scientists or ecologists. I would say, Walter's book is really just so exciting to read. Detailed in a lucid way with excellent sketches. Terrestrial ecology is also included by taking into account major world species. Easy to read and interlink with nicely sequenced sections and chapters. However, those specializing in tree physiology, Taiz's book may be better.
