Summary: An assortment of stories
Review: This is a collection of various accounts of individuals who were cast ashore from shipwrecks, marooned, or deserted ships. For some reason the author included the tale of Scott's trek to the South Pole which was a land adventure not involving ships (I am looking at the hardcover edition). The stories are of varying length and interest, and give a picture of the hazards involved in setting out to sea.
