Rating: Summary: Much more than meets the eye Review: Hydrology of the Middle East may seem like a dull subject at best, but this is in fact one of the best books I've ever read (including non-fiction). Combining history and science, Hillel provides an extraordinary account of both the importance of safe water supplies and the impact that this has on modern politics. These issues may not be readily apparent to fortunate individuals who, like me, grew up without ever having to worry about obtaining water, and it may be those people in particular who will derive the greatest pleasure and benefit from this book.
