Rating: Summary: If I had only known two years ago what I do today.... Review: When your parents need help, will you have the legal power to handle financial and medical decisions? Will you know your parents' financial standing, their health care wishes, and their preferences concerning alternative living arrangements? Do you know your own limitations? Have you thought out carefully how much you can give financially, physically and emotionally to support your parents' needs? It wasn't until my Mother became increasing ill that I realized I knew nothing about what provisions she had made for her elder years as well as how she wanted to live out those years. I became stressed, frazzled and confused. If I had known years ago what I know today, emotional and physical pain could have been avoided. The time you choose to start "Pitching In" will depend on your own personal situation, however, I encourage everyone to begin now! Use my book to help guide you. The information and support offered will make life a little easier for you and more enjoyable for your parents. With my best wishes. S.B.Ross (Sandi)
