Rating: Summary: Advice from a Master Counselor Review: Well, I'll freely admit that I've known Orv Nease - or he's known me - since I was knee-high to - well, Orv Nease! Mr. Nease has been a teacher, administrator and counselor all his life. He speaks from heartfelt, highly-educated human and Christian principles. Yes, he's a counselor and therapist, but he is also a Christian, deep in a walk of faith. I can also say that "I read this book in manuscript," and it greatly benefited my own life and helped to guide me, as well as countless others.Orv shared with me that he wasn't thrilled with the title. I would have said something like "Loving Intelligence," because that is the principle by which Orv counsels and helps people to guide their own lives. "Loving" is love in the Christian sense, agape. Intelligence is exactly what it says -- use your intelligence and intellect to guide you. Don't respond to your emotions without thinking first of your values and what is most important to you. Orv Nease has not only been a bright, shining light of love and intelligence in my life, he has influenced my writing, as well as the welfare of my little girl and my family and friends. This is a brilliant, wonderful man. Maybe this advice seems like "common sense," just like somebody in need once said to me. But when was "common sense" ever not worthwhile? It is worthwhile. Please buy this book. It will help you to be a better, stronger parent, friend, life-partner, and person. It will help you at home and on the job. Five Stars - Plus. That's my recommendation.
