Summary: Unrealistic Food for Children
Review: I read all the reveiws for this book before I bought it, however I missed the no salt, sweetener and white flour part. I have two small children and hoped this book would help me prepare simple lunches for them. However after going through the book, I put it down. They recipes very not simple and had some hard to find products in it. Plus I don't have time to spead an hour just to make my kid's meals. If you are looking for a health book, this is for you, however if you are looking for fast healthy meals I would not suggest it.

Summary: Easy recipies babies love!
Review: I recently bought this book and tried out about 10 recipies so far. I'm happy to say that my 1 year old loved each one! The recipies are easy with simple ingredients and make large portions which are freezeable. A godsend for working parents who don't always eat as healthy as they should. It's a great next step from jar food.

Summary: Wonderful little book!
Review: I thought this book was filled with many wonderful recipes. It's true some are a little bland, but it's easy to spice them up if you wish. I have doubled many of the recipes for dinner for my entire family- at my husband's request!! Great book. Very well written.

Summary: Disappointing
Review: I was definitely disappointed in this book - my picky toddler won't even try things that he doesn't recognize, and is far more likely to eat things that have a lot of flavor than these bland recipes. Most of the things didn't even sound great to ME, so I am still on the hunt for a good for you, tastes good book that will satisfy my picky eater.

Summary: A great book if you like liver (m)
Review: I was expecting food my baby could hold with his hands. He doesn't like saucy, greasy or drippy foods, and he won't use utensils. There are some finger foods in here, but there are also casseroles and drinks.

I'm all for healthy eating, but to me that does not include eating the organ used to clean toxins out of the body. Why would anyone want to feed a picky baby so much liver???

I give this book one star because there are so few usable recipes.

Summary: A MUST BUY for first time Mom's or working Mom's
Review: I was lost as to what kind of foods to feed my baby as she graduated to Toddler-Hood. This book was a Life Saver! This book is great for the Working Mom also. I work 40 hours a week, I don't have time in the evening to cook good nutrious meals. Therefore, this book has recipes you can cook on the weekend, cut into serving size pieces and freeze. I cook 3 to 4 recipes each weekend and freeze them. Then come hectic Monday, pull the Turkey Spinach meatloaf out of the freezer, microwave and give to the child! 3 minutes later, dinner is served.

Summary: Make it, freeze it, thaw it later; kid loves it!
Review: I wasn't sure what I was going to do...my son tired of baby food at 12 months but had difficulty chewing some of the things we ate and in many cases just did not care for the heavier spices we enjoy...this cookbook was just what I needed. The meal-in-one dishes and entrees can be easily mixed up, baked in muffin tins or mini loaf pans, frozen and then thawed individually as needed. He hated tuna before we tried the Lemony Tuna Squares. He loves those, the meatloaf, the spinach pies and the tofu sticks...and that's just what we've tried so far.

A lot of it is Basic Casserole Theory: meat or veg + egg + breadcrumbs or rice = dinner, but hey, it works and he's getting a lot more variety. I use whole milk whereas I would use skim if I was cooking for adults only, and it's easy just to mix up a recipe or two on the weekends and have dinner ready for him in a snap the rest of the week when things are hectic. You can also add more or less spice to taste.

I'll agree with the others: pictures would have made it a five, but the price is right and it's been a great investment for us!

Summary: Not the best choice
Review: I wasn't too impressed with this book. This may sound silly but I like cookbooks with pictures, especially ones for kids so they can pick out what they like. On top of that I found a lot of the receipes complicated or just something so different my toddler would turn his nose up at it. I wouldnt recommend this book, there are betters out there.

Summary: Great for older babies and toddlers!
Review: If you are going to only buy one baby/toddler cookbook, buy this one. The recipes are easy and babies love them. And all of the recipes are full of flavor and nutrients (not sugar and salt like the processed toddler food you buy at the store). My son is the pickiest eater alive and won't eat fruit and veggies in their natural state. However, he will eat them in these finger food recipes. Most of these recipes freeze well so you can thaw out individual portions as needed. I've recommended this book to many, many friends.

Summary: My wife loves this book!
Review: My wife feels this book is great! The recipes are easy and nutritious. It's a great way to get variety into our 1 year old twins' diet. She has recommended this book to everyone she knows with toddlers. The recipes are great for grown-ups, too.
