Summary: Probably it's great in Hardcover. Audiobook could be better
Review: Have bought the audio version for educational fun during driving times.
Note my comments here are only about audiobook:
- Vocal variety is WEAK. Jeffrey Jones did not sell the ideas to his own heart, so he reads the text with good and clear pronunciation, but personal passion is not there and trust to him has not appeared.
Ideas are very nice, but because of the above - it is very easy to loose attention especially during driving. I had to rewind a bit back this cassette several times because of that.
- Tom Hopkins has worse pronunciation (for me, as for non-native speaker), but he is adorable in terms of voice, which is key for audiobook.
- Again: the book should be great, as judged by other reviews, and i would probably buy in hardcover. Audiobook - NO. Not until they change the reader, or Jeffrey will buy those ideas himself

Summary: Just when you thought you knew everything about selling ....
Review: You will need to read this book with a marker. The short stories are easy to read, over and over again, and the book is peppered with quotes as well. Every now and then I open the book and read my favourite lines or quotes for inspiration; like "don't look to experts for all your answers. There are no answers, only informed opinions" and "do it now. The business obituary pages are filled with planners who waited" and one of my favourites "start failing so you can start succeeding."

When you finished reading this book, don't pass it on for someone else to read it; buy them their own copy.

Summary: everthing you need to know about being a succes ,-piriod!!
Review: the smal chapters make it very easy to read and to be able to relate to live situation at a time . one does not have to read the whole book to benefit greatly from it. even tough one should (and will)read the whole book of course!!

Summary: Very thought provoking marketing book
Review: I was impressed after the first 50 pages. I found Selling the Invisible very thought provoking and insightful, especially for services who are often left out of the classical marketing dialog. I did find three points troublesome. The first point was that despite the rhetoric about service marketing in the first 50 pages, many of the examples throughout the book were traditional- product focused examples. The second point was that in the middle section of the book, there tends to be several sections which basically say the same thing with little variation. The third point was that while the book was successful in making me think, there was often a disconnect between what one could actually DO with the idea and the realization that it may be important. Overall, an excellent book!

Summary: Excellent! Absolutely crucial for any service provider.
Review: This was absolutely one of the clearest, easiest marketing books I've ever read. More importantly, it got me pumped up and ready to make some changes in my business TODAY.

Summary: Simply one of the best marketing books ever written.
Review: In the course of one day my whole thought process on marketing changed. As a copywriter for a marketing firm, I was elated to read Mr. Beckwith's book, which is chock full of amusing, intelligent marketing ideas and strategies. It's nice to finally see someone who has the guts to go out there and put some truly "out-of-the-box" ideas in print. The only question that remains is if there's anyone out there smart enough to take Mr. Beckwith's advice. I have never felt compelled to write a review for a book before - that is until I read this one. GET IT, READ IT, PRACTICE IT!

Summary: The most important book that I read for my business.
Review: If those "1001 ways to market" books turn you off, then this book for you. It address questions about me and what I do that I never thought to ask. I can't praise it highly enough.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Very easy to read, obvious to understand, great examples
Review: Beckwith seems to write in a style that enables almost anybody with a basic understanding of commerce to get the message. The messages in this book are straight to the point for anyone in a service related industry. The idea that we can choose when we wish to communicate with our customers is demolished in this book. It is full of practicle advise on how to correct behaviour that is counter-productive to your business. Why not read it, what have you got to loose.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Keep this book at your side at all times.
Review: Whether you're CEO of a Fortune 500 company or a hot dog street vendor, this book truly will be your guide to successfully marketing your company/service. I've purchased it as gifts to all the senior managers and the CEO in our company and I'm back here at Amazon.com to buy a few more for my fellow managers. (I wonder if I can get a commission from Amazon.com?)

I've read many books on marketing. None quite like this one.

Don't recommend it to your competition.

Summary: Wonderful!
Review: A one-day read. Entertaining, yet packed with great suggestions. Beckwith goes against the theories we were taught in school, common sense, experience, experts, authority & what you think you know. He urges you 're-think' your thinking and your actions!

I highlighted this book and read 'snip-it's' for daily motivation.
