Summary: Excellent for Beginners or Advanced users
Review: Superb book that deals with both practical aspects ( planning, installation, security etc.), and concepts. It is written in a very detailed manner, which at first was quite frustrating to read, but is very useful for sections that I was unfamiliar with. This is an excellent guide for people that are familiar with Exchange 5.X. I was particularly impressed with the sections on client installations and selection. I learnt a lot of stuff that I did not even know were possible with MS Exchange. Good buy!!

Summary: Not very good
Review: This book does not cover many topics. For example there is a whole section on co-existing with Exg 5.5 but no where in the book does it tell you how to remove your dependence on exchange 5.5. Also does not cover the installtion of EXG2000 in the Backoffice 2000 package.

Summary: An excellent introduction to Exchange 2000 Server
Review: This book is an excellent resource to introduce you to the basics of Exchange 2000 Server. All or Exchange Server's features are introduced and carefully explained. It also presents a good overview of the innards of Exchange 2000 Server, and how it differs from Exchange 5.5.

If you're new to Exchange 2000, or indeed to Exchange in general, then this book is a must-buy. Note that the book covers only the Server and, to a lesser extent, the Enterprise Server editions. Apart from a few sentences, Conferencing Server is not covered here.

Summary: What you need
Review: This is the best E2K book I have read. If you are tired of reading books that only superficially address the technology at hand get this book. The information is dense and quality good. One missing was the books dealings with disaster recovery. Personally, I feel disaster recovery is the most important aspect of implementation and was somewhat disappointed with how this book deals with it.
