Review: Latin for Americans by B L Ullman and Charles Henderson is the best Latin textbook series on the market today. I purchased all three books. It is available as Level 1, 2 and 3. It has vocabulary, Roman culture, grammar, exercises, a Latin paragraph to read and translate and excellent pictures in every chapter of the book. The books also have a workbook for Level 1 and 2. These books were first printed in 1941 and the most recent copyright is 2003/2004 which is the 9th edition. The workbooks reinforce the material that is in the textbooks. These textbooks are easy to read and understand. These textbooks are used in most high school Latin classes. Some colleges may also use these books. I rate these books as number 1 with an A plus!
