Summary: More Substance With Less Speculation
Review: Edgar Leoni does a fine job with this book. Rather than engaging in superfluous speculation and spiritualization, Leoni simply translates the quatrains directly from French/Latin into English, and then compares the predicted events with possible matches to history. For predictions which haven't yet occurred, he gives an intelligent, straight-forward conclusion on its meaning, and does not hesitate to admit that some of the quatrains are simply to vague and obscure to pin down. This is also one of the few Nostradamus books to include all of the quatrains, as well as the preface and Epistle to King Henry II, in the correct chronological order. The index is very complete and easy to use. The only drawback is that Leoni wrote this book in 1960- if only he know what the rest of the 20th century would bring!

Summary: Complete Works
Review: I believe that this is the first published work that presents the complete prophecies and scholarly translations of Nostradamus. This book houses the first comprehensive translation and it is printed with a word for word translation from the French with the English translation on the facing page. The most famous interpretations are also presented in a commentary section. Indexes are provided for every level of reader, from those who are simply curious to the true historian and serious researcher. I also highly recommend a little book of Eastern wisdom called "Open Your Mind, Open Your Life" by Taro Gold which is filled with hundreds of amazing quotations of insight.

Summary: Needs interpretation
Review: It's all there, but lacks interpretation. Found it too complex to be anything more than a reference book to check veracity of quotes found elsewhere.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: SUPER -DOOPER
Review: MAGNIFICENTLY LAID OUT ALL THE QUATRAINS/CENTURIES

IN A FASHION THAT IS SO EASY TO UNDERSTAND/RELATE TO ALL THE EVENTS IN HISTORY

I CANNOT BELIEVE IT IS OUT OF PRINT.

Summary: Great book on Nostradamus but...
Review: Nostradamus' prophecies are too vague and can mean almost anything. If you think about it, there were many things that Nostradamus never predicted that were huge events in history. This prophet seems to mostly talk about politics and countries getting attacked by other countries. And most of them are still so enigmatic that one might say that "he got away with it." If you're trying to find the WTC attack in Nostradamus' Prophecies, then don't even bother because its not in this book! If you haven't notice, that WTC prophecy was a huge hoax by some ... who wanted everyone to waste their money on this book. There could be only one solution to Nostradamus' extremely vague prophecies...He probably wrote some type of code within the prophecies that no one will understand until later in the 21st Century. But I doubt it. If its the year 3797 and no one has figured out his "code", then we will all know that he is a big ..., even though he totally had a lot of confidence in himself.

Summary: BEST Nostradamus book I've come across!
Review: This book has several things most others don't. First an excellent explanation of how Nostradamus wrote his quatrain's and how they ended up in the order they are in. WITHOUT THIS INFO, >ANY< NOSTRADAMUS BOOK IS ESSENTIALLY WORTHLESS. Secondly, each left hand page is in French, while each right hand page is in English. Nice touch. Thirdly, it is THE ONLY BOOK I've ever seen publishing his letter to King Henry of France. This letter details IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER what major events will transpire. If for no other reason, get the book for THIS LETTER ALONE! And lastly, the book is very well laid out and you can find any Century/Quatrain in seconds
