Is this Study Bible right for you?
-------------------------------------------Choosing a Bible is very personal and often emotional decision. There are so many different Study Bibles because each takes a different approach. The Life Application Study Bible has earned a wide following with its excellent charts, diagrams, and tables. Other Study Bibles such as the NIV Study Bible attempt to be as factual as possible in their commentary. Its study notes try to explain references and historical context. They do not attempt to apply God's message to your life. They try to provide facts to help you build your own personal relationship with God. The LA Study Bible's dust jacket claims something very different from the rest: "...Its notes not only explain difficult passages and give background information about bible life and times, but they go a step further - they also show how God's Word speaks to every situation and circumstance of your life..." If you want to consider a variety of opinions, you might consider doing an Amazon search in Books for "William Barclay." His books often present a number of opinions, often from opposing points of view. The LA Study Bible viewpoint is sometimes one of the most extreme. If you want to be told one perspective to apply to your life, the LA Bible may be perfect for you. If you want to find your own personal relationship with God, you might want a more objective and informational commentary such as the NIV Study Bible or other Study Bibles. The NIV Study Bible might also be one to consider if you want a basic Subject Index or Concordance included. The NIV is also available in a rugged hardcover version like a college textbook or a less expensive paperback version. The LA Bible's dust jacket may not hold up as well to wear and tear. Also the NIV Study Bible has twice as many study notes and footnotes. Whatever you decide, the most important thing is to read any Bible!

Summary: Simply the BEST Bible available.
Review: After looking at several study bibles I have chosen the Life Application Study bible in the NIV for my use as it is easiest for me to read and study. My wife and I have also bought several copies for friends and family. We buy the red letter edition in the leather cover so they will know it was important enough for them that we bought the best we could find. We have given this version of the Word so that not only will my friends and family have the Word of God but some of the explanations and descriptions of the events and times to go along with the text. These explanations have made for better understanding of the times and events for me, and I believe it will for anyone. This study bible is good for the new believer and those searching. The more anyone knows and understands the Word, the better your life in the Word.

Review: Becoming a Christian just recently, I wanted a really good Bible that was easy to read, fit into "our" time, and would truly explain "things" in plain english, and this IS the Bible to get..I love the NIV for all its ease and highly recommend this one specifically..God Bless from Texas..

Review: I feel sorry for anyone who does not have a study Bible, and this one is THE BEST there is! Get the red-letter edition, and I suggest the genuine leather - only because otherwise you will wear a hardbound or "bonded-leather" (leather dust glued together) version out - because with this Bible, it is so exciting, interesting, and explainitory that you'll want to read it A LOT! I give these Bibles as gifts, and people are so amazed and excited over this Bible! JESUS IS LORD!

Summary: Study Bible - THE BEST
Review: I have had my life application bible for 3 years and I LOVE IT. The commentaries, the cross references, the introductions to each book are so helpful and stimulating. My daughter, who is 16 yrs. old, wants her own. I own and use the NASB version but she prefers the NIV. Regardless of the version, life application brings things into realistic perspective.

Summary: Absolutely beautiful and brilliant!
Review: The Life Application Study Bible has helped me to become even more of a Christian than I could ever have hoped! I was basically a lost soul when it came to reading The Holy Bible KJV. I am reading the Bible in order of events as written, and I lost interest with the KJV, but when someone anonymously delivered the Life Application Study Bible to my door, I was unable to put it down! It is so easy for me to understand the words and grasp what I need to know and remember. The maps are brilliant and bright. It also has a place for your Family Tree, Marriage, Births, etc. I don't know who gave me this, I just attribute it to God, and I know whoever did this for me, knows that I will always treasure this book, FOREVER!

Summary: The Best Study Bible in Print
Review: The Life Application Study Bible is by far the best study Bible in print. After receiving this Bible as a gift from a friend, I have not been able to part with it. It's by far my most precious Bible. Prior to receiving the Life Application Bible, I had difficulty understanding the meanings of certain biblical refrences and passages; that is until I came across the Life Application Bible. Since receiving this Bible I have recommended it to quite a few people(Skeptics), whom I might add were all quite amazed with the Life Application Bible.
This Bible contains cross-reference scriptures, biblical profiles of the men and women of the Bible. It also contains maps and a biblical dictionary/concordance, and a 365 day reading plan.
Since receiving this Bible, I have learned so many things about the Bible and how it applies to my daily life. The Life Application Bible will leave you hungry and wanting more. I guarantee you, anyone who purchases the Life Application Bible certainly won't be dissappointed.
