I found this particular Bible very useful when preparing for one of my exam assignment with a local Bible college. Very good layouts & Neat concise write-ups too. One is better advised to purchase the large print version unless he or she has 20/20 vision. Highly recommend this for all in the laity, perhaps those from the clergy may agree too upon having looked through one such copy

Review: First of all, being stationed overseas, our book store has nothing but those 5 dollar bibles. I ordered this, based on a recommendation, and it was here within a week. This thing is huge and has some weight to it! I ordered the large print version which added to the size of the Bible. I highly recommend it, especially if you are in a place short of reference/study material like I am.

Summary: The NIV Life Application Bible is one of the Best!
Review: I bought one in November of last year and have used it in church and at home when I really needed a good translation to rely upon. I too, was once a KJV Onlyist until I found the clarity found in the NIV and the footnotes in the Life Application Bible are easy to understand and to apply to our daily walk as Christians.

Review: I had originally ordered a different bible. This one was sent by "mistake". I think God knew I needed this one. I looked it over and quickly decided that rather than return it I would gladly pay for it. I contacted Amazon and they were very nice about straightening out the billing. I love this bible and recommend it it highly for new believers. Especially if you're like me and have difficulty with the KJV. I also appreciate the notes on alternate text references and alternate wording.

Summary: The Best Decision I Ever Made!
Review: I have always used the King James Version of the Bible and have always had difficulty in understanding it. It never occured to me that there may be another bible out there that I could understand without having to re-read everything over and over. I found the NIV Life Application Study Bible and while in the Bible bookstore, I held it next to the King James Version to compare. I was astonished at the difference, yet they were the same in meaning. I Quickly paid the lady at the register and went home to check out this Bible. FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE, I REALLY ENJOY READING THE BIBLE!
This version is so easy to understand, I have bought my father one, reccommended it to everyone I have the chance and I am about to buy one for my son and a good friend of mine. Don't do like I did and avoid reading your bible for years because it was too difficult or challenging. Do youself a favor and check this Bible out. You will be glad you did. You wont want to stop reading it. I also recommend adding the Zondervan Exhaustive Concordance and the Zondervan Naves topical Bible to your study collection if you are serious about studying the bible to the fullest.

Summary: Not genuine leather
Review: I wanted to find a giant print NIV for my husband, and it was difficult to find anything close online. We went with this one, but it is bonded leather not genuine. Still, a good study Bible. And the type is quite large, I like the size of the print, my husband can read it if he forgets his reading glasses at home.
