Summary: High Theology or sub-cultural apocrypha?
Review: -a few points about this book-there is much in it that justifies its exclusion to the realm of crude religious apocrypha but, puzzlingly enough, there are also sustained passages of bold theological speculation in the neoplatonic vein of Pseudo-Dionysius and the medieval franciscans- Some of this material is quite fascinating, especially the explication of the procession of creatures from God at the beginning- How it comes to be mixed up with some of the more bizarre stuff I do not know- a critical and scholarly edition of this weird but fascinating book would be quite welcome- as far as I am aware there is almost no scholarship on it.

Summary: Review from the Publisher
Review: 794 Pp. PB. Impr. A highly successful abridgment of the monumental 2,676 page, 4-vol. life of the Blessed Virgin, as seen in mystic vision by Ven. Mary of Agreda (1602-1665). This book overflows with enthralling information about Our Lord and Our Lady, about the creation of the world, the meaning of the Apocalypse, Lucifer's rebellion, the location of Hell, the hidden life of Jesus, etc. Reveals that St. Joseph ate meat, but Our Lord and Our Lady seldom did. Makes Christ's hidden life really come alive. Acclaimed by Popes, cardinals and theologians, this is one of the greatest Catholic books ever!

Summary: Views the Life of Mary and Jesus from God's Perspective
Review: This book has all the answers to the questions that Catholics have had pass through their minds about the life of Christ and the Holy family during the 33 years that Jesus lived here on earth.Miracles that preceded Cana are explained. It also has God the father's views of why he formed man and the universe. The Father explains to the author what happened in the sequences from the creation of the heavens and angelic beings, to the creation of the earth and man in God's image. His ideas of what he wanted to do to redeem man and the creation of the physical beings of Mary and Jesus to do this. It explains the workings of the demon angels and what their part was in the life of Christ. It is a facinating account of our world from the Father's viewpoint. I have read the one volume abridgement but it does not have all the interesting information that the four volume set has . I recommend reading the four volumes.
