Summary: Scattered Introduction to an Important Topic.....
Review: As a reader of several Sylvia Browne books, in my opinion this is not one of the better written books. Although, I applaud the topic of the Feminine Divine Principle, it's history and current place in society it just isn't covered well in this book. Information is scattered and patched together from many different sources and put together in a "hodge podge" way. The Feminine Divine is a huge topic that can't possibly be squeezed into a small book and be done well. What the book does offer is; Sylvia's entertaining style, an introduction to the history of the goddess in different cultures, websites for more information and Ms. Browne's "take" on the Mother God Anza. It is a simplistic yet heartfelt introduction to a topic that I hope to see much more of.

Summary: shaking up the universe a little
Review: for some time now i have waited forall the glowing reviews that tend tofollow the release of sylvia's works.and waited...so i bit the bullet and ordered it with little foreknowledgeof what to expect in this approach to the principle closest to my heart. iam not disappointed, but instead have to wonder how the message is being received by those not given to this line of thinking. the idea of a deity who does not rule through fear and punishment may frighten many folks - but during this time in history withenduring challenges to traditionalreligious thought, perhaps some canwrap their minds (and arms and hearts)around a creative force to save our planet and its peoples. many timesover the years i have read that it will take the nurturing force of a 'mother' to save us from destroying ourselves...praise heaven, let the females step forward to take up the challenge, and bless sylvia browne for putting it on the table. as she always writes, "take what works for you and leave the rest". thank you, sylvia, and guide us, azna, for the highest good of all.

Summary: Not Up to Par
Review: Having read all of Sylvia Browne's other works, I was very disappointed by this book which is definitely not up to her usual standards. My impression is that this book was thrown together quickly to meet publishing deadlines and, like anything that is thrown together, falls far short of its intended purpose. Those readers hoping to gain inspiration and wisdom will have to seek further.

Summary: boring book
Review: i am a fan of slyvia's so I've got no axe to grind but this book was boring.... I can't help but let you know about a book I picked up by chance and couldn't put down, it's called PSYCHIC DIARIES BY LYSA MATEU and it is so out of this world compelling and amazing, that after I read it and read Mother God, I felt gypped by Mother God. PSYCHIC DIARIES is compelling and engrossing and fascinating and this is.... not.

Summary: A defense as well as review
Review: I don't know why I even bother responding to such ilk as the one reviewer who talks the usual crap about there being only one way to heaven. I'll repect that perspective, but I'll also add that no, there couldn't possibly be any wars in heaven attributed to people's varying beliefs due to the fact that the human ego (that is synonymous with you holy rollers) isn't present, therefore making us at our BEST, truest selves--the one that God created "in the beginning." And as far as Sylvia spewing crap goes, check your infallible Bible, creation story in Genesis, it's right there that "and THEY saw that it was good." Hmmm...very interesting. The early "church fathers" failed to change that particular pronoun (along with the rest of them) to satisfy the need for there to be only a male concept of God (and everything else). Oops! As far as there only being one viable spiritual text, being the Bible, then let me just remind you that anyone can write a book, and anyone has the right to buy it. If not, then they don't have to agree with it. What concerns me is that Bible Beaters will sink so low as to use a consumer forum to spew their usual garbage by calling themselves "Christian" after expressing interst in killing all of those who don't agree with them. Hmmm...again, the word "interesting" comes to mind. That's why I think they are valuable for entertainment purposes, if nothing more.
As far as the book goes, yes, Sylvia does tend to repeat herself, as she herself has readily admitted to in a few prior books. But what she does she does well--I can't dispute that--and any inconsistencies I've found in previous books I can easily overlook for that reason. Besides, her repeating herself gives the newcomer a less-confused experience since she expounds on something new by giving you the necessary background. I find Sylvia Browne's books enlightening, entertaining, life-affirming and, most of all, NECESSARY.

Summary: disappointing rehash
Review: I had a lot of questions about the Mother God, and didn't get many answers from her other books. I'm glad Sylvia, (and Francine!) have composed this book, its answered all of my questions. It is a bit dry in some places but it's still a pretty easy read, one or two sittings at most. All in all it's a Gnostic Christian's must read. ENJOY!!

Summary: Very convincing, Read SB 1 or God by Maddox also
Review: I have read S. Brownes books now for several years. I had a reservation or two in all of her past works, but this is really on the level and convincing. Taking account innumerable true historical records and current day applications Sylvia Browne compiles a wonderfully convincing feminine divinity. She further exploits the fanatical and ferverent approach to suppress Mother God, and gives the insecure reasoning. I absolutely enjoyed this and cannot review the book in detail as this will spoil it for the reader, but would just say, yes buy this. I also highly recommend reading SB 1 or God by Karl Maddox, it gives further evidense and is a must read.
