Summary: Key explanations to advanced practicers
Review: By far one of the best Castaneda`s books revealing very profound and important explanations. Useful only if the one who reads it has certain achievements in "stopping the world", "seeing", etc. Otherwise save it for later - don`t think upon it,won`t help you. Just read it and wait till you get positive results in your own practice. The book is very clear to understand with one`s mind but as always that doesn`t help at all - the problem in achieving practical results remains. If you are looking just for another interesting book - well, I guess you`ve found it. But if you are serious about it I hope my comments might be of some use to you.

Summary: Excellent book peppered with hilarious stories.
Review: Castaneda's best work after "Fire from within" and maybe "Art of dreaming." This is a must read. The art of teaching through stalking is beautifully revealed. Great book even if you have never read Castaneda before. Stories about Julian made me roll on the floor laughing

Summary: The power of deception
Review: Don't give these frauds another penny of your money. There is better speculative fiction out there. Wake up? Castenada was no sorcerer. Mickey Mouse was a sorcerer in Fantasia. Castaneda was a sorcerer in his own Fantasies. The guy is a liar. Pure and simple. What more does anyone have to say. Except that a fool and wisdom never get together in the first place.

Review: From Reading all The reviews on this book ive noticed this was a highly intense subject. Note to the readers! Before you judge the book before buying have this in mind "Carlos Castaneda" Disapeared as of 1998... there was no funeral , no body and his family did not mourn his "death" or "disapearence" ... before i analyze this book let me say that in a book of the series he recalls that "one day he will go to where he belongs and never come back" reffering to jumping off a mountain the very same that his mentor "Don Juan" did and don juans body has never been found either. Jumping into an Abyss...
Carlos jumped the mountain too along with them but survived Trying to convince himself that he didnt jump the mountain and survive cause it was IMPOSSIBLE, but he did and had to realize the power. So BAsically Carlos VAnished into a Abyss.. For the skeptics, Forget Modern Science! because Modern Science only tells you "fact" not truth, Fact is very different from truth. Fact is what's Correct at that paticular moment, Which means with any discovery that fact can be turned into False within the wink of an eye. So you cannot Rely on Science as a legit Answer for life, Questions on Religion because science is not entirely true. Now no one knows how Advance The human Psychic Is! From Paranormal to Mystical... Somethings just can't be explained... Like voodoo, WitchCraft, Aliens. Personally I was a MAJOR skeptic about subjects of these, but in age , you start to see things... How our goverment Covers Up Many things to "Protect us" Deja Vu's. How in some households you see glasses of water on the floor a clear distinction in witchcraft. Voodoo in haiti. Paranormal activities such as Body possession. Some would say that humans are just animals we have no spirit just a slab of meat... One theory breaks this and science can not prove it false. The brain holds the essence of the spirit. what makes the brain work? the spirit. Like a robot that feeds on electricity to work.Think! the essence of electricty The essence of Spirit! Now the Human Brain has been a mystery since the beginning of time? Don't you think with some knowlege and faith You can do anything? I was once Saw magicican David Blain Levitate in Midair in the middle of the street where no strings could be possibly there? it may not be magic or parranormal But what im saying is. Once you have the knowlege to do something you can do that all the time. So in reference to the book. you want to learn witchcraft? get a book of spells And (yes there are many in the underground market) And find out the rituals to be a witch. Grab the KNowlege! So for a college student To go down to Mexico And get KNOWLEGE from a enigma known as Don juan! who knows what knowlege don juan Knows of. See the Key is Knowlege and wisdom . Once you know how to do something and know the steps nothing makes it impossible to do it? Because nothing is impossible! a Man Can't Vanish into thin Air! Summary: Julian Osorio incombobulates straight faces yet again..
Review: Here we are at last given profiles of Juan Matus' nagual (Julian Osorio) and also of Julian's nagual;the nagual Elias. These two personages couldn't be more different in their approaches to the way in which they make their 'explanations'.. Undoubtedly the star of the show must be Julian with his breathtaking,though focussed, frolics,which as brr@cat.syr.edu points out,really do have you rolling around on the floor. Thinking of this work in particular gives my insides a warm glow,and in particular I realised just how much I have grown to enjoy the colourful world of Juan Matus.

Summary: Teachings of don Juan
Review: I read these books as they came out in the 70's. You have NO idea what you are messing with as you start the series. Yes, shamanisim works, but at what COST? I very nearly lost my soul as all the witch doctors, shamans, warlocks do. You are throwing your spirit into hell willingly for a short time of second rate power. The dark side does exist, and is glad to suck you in, but it is NOT free.
Only through Christ and what he did for you will you truly reach spiritual fulfillment.
What don Juan reffered to as 'the form of man' sitting on a big white throne is much more than just an image. Because of free will, He lets us make a choice. Who will YOU serve? Dosn't God, in his Book, say "Let us make man in our image"? This is THE TRUTH!! Do not loose your soul to hell by buying into this stuff!!

Summary: Like Nothing I've Ever Read
Review: That's why I gave it four stars. This book is amazing. If you've ever read anything by Dan Millman or Ken Wilber, you'll like this. A lot of the same stuff, and a lot of it is really hard to understand. I've read it once, and I didn't get it too well, but I'm about halfway done with yet again and it really is a great book. This is the first Castaneda book I've read, and I think that maybe I should have started with The Teachings of Don Juan, because alot of this subject matter is way out there, but I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to see things differently.

Review: This book chose me to read it and became a savior. Never a adamant reader how ever finished this book in a few days. As it turned out this book brought light to my shadows of darkness and showed me that I am not alone but rather part of all that is. Teaching me how to stalk myself was like finally getting a major obstacle out of the way. Still if one has not attained an understanding of certain fundamental & spiritual concepts and incorporated them into a quest for at least a basic quest for knowledge, the book can only serve as entertainment.
