Rating: Summary: The pinnacle of instruction in Thelemic Magick Review: 93 - A compendium of several pre-existing volumes, Book 4 Parts I-IV compiles the original instruction in Yoga and Magick of Book 4 with the all-time work on the subject, 'Magick in Theory and Practice'. Also included is the 'Equinox of the Gods', the description of the reception of the Law and an offset reproduction of the 'original writing of The Beast' according to its instruction.
I cannot imagine why anyone serious about the art and science of Magick would waste their time with any other instructional work
Rating: Summary: GREAT book, but unfortunately, more rehashing by Bill Breeze Review: A Great book indeed! But do we need a new revision every time Bill Breeze wants to make more money off of Crowley's name? The book is a must have, just wish they would get a "final" copy once and for all... afterall the book was writen over 60 years ago!
Rating: Summary: A life time of magical knowledge by the master of the art Review: Aleister Crowley is in fine form here dispensing esoteric philosophy and step by step instructions on some of the most important and powerful magickal practices and ceremonies. The writing is carefully worded so that even beginners can grasp the concepts and gain insight from this most valuable text book. The book embodies two of Crowley's most important and famous works "Liber legis"(THE BOOK OF THE LAW)and "magick in theory and practice." The writing on yoga is among the finest i've ever read on the subject anywhere and is absolutly revolutionary for it's time. Crowley encompasses such a vast body of information in this book that it never fails to teach the student something new each time it is referenced.Anyone interested in pursuing the great work will find this an invaluable edition to their library. The beast may have indeed been mortal but his words shall endure until the end.PERDURABO!
Rating: Summary: Highly Complex, Stylized, Substantive Review: Be prepared: The presentation can seem incredibly obscure, obtuse and allegorical... but this is an occult book after all(!) If you aren't prepared to appreciate this, and to explore deeply to get to the underlying substance, you wil certainly hate this book and get absolutely nothing from it but irritation. This isn't the latest pop Llewellyn "Celtic Love Spells" production. Crowley's work is serious, smart, original, highly relevant religious/magickal philosophy, which can be very liberating. One further comment: The pitifully ignorant, tiresome and homophobic review several down should speak for itself.

Rating: Summary: Be forewarned, if Absolute Genius is not your goal... Review: Children of the Millenium will have a difficult time rationalizing this extensive and comprehensive foray into interdisciplinary yoga, but if you can tear down your tired old belief systems long enough to put them into practice, nothing short of full mastery awaits you.
Rating: Summary: New edition worth the effort and the cash Review: Despite the criticism by others here about the re-hashing of old material, it is a common practice in the publishing industry to improve popular publications over time. I have found this edition of a timeless work to be particularly useful for its color plates and the five different indexes have proven invaluable on countless occasions.
Rating: Summary: Credit where it is deserved! Review: Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law. It is easy to see that most,if not all, of modern magickal literature owes its insights to Aleister Crowley. This work, along with the Equinox series, is still the most comprehensive collection of Arcana available. Rather than give mystical malarky, this work gives instruction and insight. This edition has copious charts, diagrams, and references. It has both an advanced and rudimentary selection of subject matter. No other work comes close to its worth in the arena of esoteric or occult literature. It is the path laid open. It is a complete Ceremonial library. In short, don't settle for bastardized versions of this work. Get the real thing. Highly recomended reading! Love is the law, love under will.

Rating: Summary: The quintessential textbook of Magick and Occultism! Review: For over half a century nearly every important book on Magick or Occultism has as one of its primary sources Magick: Book Four. Any authentic student should make this his essential Textbook of initiation.
