Jesse Tree Devotions: A Family Activity for Advent

Review: My family has been using this book for the past five years and we have found it to be a wonderful family devotional for the Advent season. At first, the kids were just interested in coloring the daily 'leaf' and gluing it onto the paper 'tree'; now the older kids are interested in the readings and actually take part in the discussions while the youngest ones get out the crayons and glue. We have considered giving it up, since it does require purchasing a new book each year (the content does not change with each year, but the pages are colored and cut to make the tree). Our kids would not even consider it! This has become a very enjoyable Advent tradition for our whole family. I have usually had to 'special order' this book, so I would consider purchasing a few books at a time so as not to be caught unprepared when Advent arrives. The book also makes a nice gift.
