Review: Orson Scott Card is a master of creating a whole world from very little information. Rachel and Leah and the other wives of Jacob were brought to life in this novel of Biblical times. You almost feel as if you have traveled into the past and watched the lives of the early prophets and their wives and mothers. Walk with them in the dusty, stone covered land where the smells and feel of ancient Isreal are made real. A must read.
