Review: It is not an exaggeration to say that this is most certainly the greatest spiritual book ever written. It starts with the basic disciplines of human culture like cleanliness, god worship, honesty, compassion and duty. It goes on to explain the structure of the human mind and the stages of evolution of the human mind. The system of Yoga is explained in comprehensive detail and the acquisition of supernatural powers is shown as a natural consequence from rigorous practice of Yoga and meditation. The final stage of god-vision and liberation from bodily existence is explained in a beautiful and a powerfully persuasive manner.
This book is a must-read for any person wishing to understand the undiscovered meaning of time, space, cause and God. It truly explains the nature of reality.

Review: Merging With Siva is an excellent book that is understandable for both the spiritual adept and novice. Reading this book, I could tell the author has a deep compassion for others as well as tremendous wisdom and learning. I highly recommend this and Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami's other books.

Summary: A Spiritual Mountain-top
Review: The vast, timeless wisdom contained in this book would perhaps take years (if not lifetimes) to properly understand and appreciate. The greatest appeal this book had for me was the the seamless integration of the knowledge path and the devotional path. The stress is not only on intellectually understanding the vedantic concepts of life but on the actual practice of these principles in everyday life. The author says our beliefs develop our attitudes and our attitudes govern our actions in life and then leads us lovingly through the entire journey from belief to action. For someone like myself who has the habit of getting bogged down by intellectual debate this book would perhaps show a much more satisfying and profound way of seeking answers and practicing those time honoured virtues which are so often neglected in todays world. This book has changed my outlook towards life and has firmly answered questions that I had been carrying with me for a long time. The message of this book does cut across the boundaries of religion, race and culture -- however for a better and fuller understanding of the contents it is perhaps better for those unaccustomed to Sanatana (Hindu) Dharma to read the two other accompanying books, Dancing With Siva and Living With Siva which constitute a trilogy along with Merging With Siva.

Review: This book is comprimised of sections to allow one to read a passage every day for a year, or at their own pace if they'd like. I read each passage a day for a year, and it helped me tremendously! Finding yourself, growing spiritualy, and apreading your wings to fly. Merging With Siva, does just what the title says, helps you merge with the almighty. Become at peace with yourself. Nice pictures, poeticly written. Not just for Hindus.
