Rating: Summary: Jesus should not be in a Hebrew text! Review: I used this book as a secondary source for a paper I wrote in a biblical history course. It was in the library under Old Testament History, yet there were smatterings of New Testament dogma throughout the whole thing! As a Jewish studies major, I found it frustrating to have to wade through someone else's doctrine (the author, it turns out, is a pastor) just to get to the facts. However, when I did find information relating to the actual Book of Samuel, it was well-written and informative. Also, the style of the book made it easy to pick out interesting facts, useful to me after spending so much time picking out the religious bias.
