Summary: Both Scripture and Faith come alive after reading this book.
Review: Tim Gray more or less summarizes in 150 pages the essence of what Jesus did for the disciples on the road to Emmaus. He details how the Old Testament prophesies are fulfilled in Christ. This book helps the reader understand EXACTLY what the mission of the messiah was. For those who are fond of reading the Scriptures, Tim Gray shows that in the passages of Luke's gospel there is much much more than meets the eye. Every Christian should experience this book but especially Catholics who will rediscover the fullness of their faith in the pages of this work. Excellent resource for Bible study!

Summary: Mission of the Messiah a Must Read for Year 2000
Review: Tim Gray's book opened my eyes to the importance of the Jubilee Year. Two friends have mentioned to me that they just weren't enthused about the Jubilee, it didn't really mean anything to them, and they hadn't done much preparing for it anyway. I knew just how they felt because I felt that way, too, before reading Mission of the Messiah. After reading it, I couldn't wait for the Jubilee Year to begin and I knew what I had to do to prepare for it. Now it is here and it isn't too late to prepare for it or understand it! Thanks to the author for helping me see it all through the eyes of the Gospel.
