Summary: An Excellent Introduction to Womanist Theology
Review: Dr. Weems' book is an excellent book for one to begin a study of Womanist Theology. Her hermeneutic on well known bible passages applied to a contemporary context will surely challenge the reader to rethink his or her own hermeneutical approach. Changing the point of view of a passage can open the door to untold blessings. My primary criticism of the book is that Dr. Weems does not portray her own weaknesses very well. I think if she had chosen to be more vulnerable it would have rated 5 stars.

Summary: I LEARNED TO BE ONLY WHAT I WANT TO BE
Review: Renita is a very annointed woman. Through her book I have learned to love and care for myself and stop worrying about how men feel. She showed me that I can be me. God Bless!
