Summary: Excellent Commentary on Difficult Biblical Book
Review: Lockwood has written a sound, scholarly treatment of Paul's first letter to the Corinthians. Lockwood treats the controversial topics of 1 Cor. with skill and grace, yet firmly presenting his exegesis within the context of the surrounding theological landscape. Using this commentary, I know one will be kept away from Paul's accusation in 2 Peter, i.e. those that distort Paul's teachings to their own destruction.
