Review: Dr. Verhey's writing style is truly excellent. This book is full of wonderful, new insights on a wide variety of contemporary issues. It actually changed the way in which I view, read and understand Scripture. This book challenges the reader to a new understanding of God's written word by using excellent examples and many great references. This book is a "must have" for anyone interested in theology and ethics, but even those individuals who are mainly interested in getting a better sense of the Scriptures should consider reading this book. Although very academic, it reads very easily and nicely. I had a hard time putting this book down. This is the kind of text which warrants
being read and studied more than once, and once you read it, it becomes an excellent reference tool.
