Rating: Summary: Comments from Grandpa Review: I made a careful study of many Bible storybooks and found this to be the most outstanding of all. It is biblically accurate throughout, has superb illustrations that are historically correct, and is very well written. There are six illustrations with text on every page. My children loved this book and we used it more than any other for our evening readings. Though created for children, I have given many of these to new Christians as it can be read quickly and will give a person not very familiar with the Bible a good overview of Genesis to Revelation. Most stories can be read in about four or five minutes--a total of twelve or twenty-four illustrations (two or four pages) per story.
Rating: Summary: Looking for another copy.... Review: I've bought this book twice over the last 15 years--and need it again. It was the best Bible picture book I have found--kids literally tore it apart reading it over and over.
Rating: Summary: BESTEST. We've used others but this is the one for the kids. Review: This bood was discontinued for a long time, and I got it on the used market. I got 6 copies. We have used this Bible for about 7 years now. Our oldest (10)started when she was (3). We try to read almost every night. They do not get tired of the Biblical stories and the great illustrations. 6 per page. Because of this Bible, my 3 children answer most questions in Sunday School. We've tried may others, but only this one keeps the kids attenention, from preschool to teenagers. ITS THE BEST. BLessings, IN CHRIST...
Rating: Summary: Read n Grow Picture Bible Review: This is by far the best picture bible I have seen! The pictures and content are outstanding. Most picture bibles do not have a whole lot of content. This one does! It is a comic book style which makes it easy to read for children. My children devoured this book for hours at a time. They used it over and over until it was literally falling apart! I recommend this book for anyone who wants their children to get a better knowledge of God's Word.

Rating: Summary: The Best Picture Bible -- hands down Review: This is by far the best picture bible I've ever found. I hold a BA in Bible and find time and again this book is accurate, readable and ideal for teaching children an overview of Scripture. Its pictures are wonderful, able to hold the attention of a 3 year old while teaching eternal truths to "children" of all ages.

Rating: Summary: Unusually accurate cartoon-style Bible story book; Review: This is the only illustrated Bible story book that I have ever seen, that I can really recommend. Comparing the stories to a simple-English-language Bible reveals a careful attention to detail and significance in what is necessarily an abbreviated story. This alone is almost unique. The careful consideration of age- appropriate language is still unusual enough to be noteworthy. But the pictures!I could count the anachronisms I have caught on the fingers of one hand. In most picture Bibles, this score is exceeded before the third page. But every detail seems to have been carefully researched: clothing, weapons, architecture, technology, are all taken from contemporary evidence. Most books just draw the people in robes. Not this one! Goliath wears armor and headdress right off Merenptah's pictures of the Sea Peoples. Israelite robes, Roman togas, Persian headgear, are all carefully distinguished. Even the geography is carefully represented. I highly recommend this book as the second resource (after an appropriate Bible translation such as NCB/ICB) for anyone teaching 4-10 year olds.
