Rating: Summary: Excellent, tried and true, everyday and exotic Review: After I found there were too many recipes for me to copy out, I decided to buy this book. It has excellent recipes, most of them easy and quick to make. They use some exotic ingredients that are becoming commonplace, and also have some old favourites. I own many Jewish community cookbooks and this is one of my favourites. A note to the authors - next time include an address and or phone no. for additional orders! (some people don't think of ordering online!)
Rating: Summary: Wonderfuldairy and meat recipes for every holiday and event. Review: I have many kosher cookbooks but this is my favorite. The recipes are up-to- date for 1997 palates. My family enjoyed black bean and pumpkin soup, pickled salmon, and some wonderful safardic recipes. The commentaries were interesting. The authors pinpoint which recipes can be used for Passover too ! This book requires no advanced cooking skills . or exotic ingrediants.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful and Easy! Review: This is our favorite kosher cookbook too! The kasha meatloaf, no need to wait around the house challah, and the chicken soup are our favorites. The chinese style recipes in this book are wonderful too because they actually taste authentic unlike some recipes you may have tried. The cookbook even puts groups of recipes together for you so it is easy to plan an entire meal. The meals are also marked meat, dairy , parve, and Pesach.
