Rating: Summary: Truly Inspirational Review: I thought this book had a beautiful message, and really helps to put your life into perspective. Often times we get caught up in the everyday, work, raising families, struggle struggle struggle. The old adage is true we really need to stop and smell the roses and sometimes even stop to smell the sour milk, stop and smell something. There is beauty and meaning in everything, even in Dawna's case her battle with cancer, she had the courage to really look at what that experience was telling her. She told a beautiful story about a woman that would come in and sweep her hospital room each night, they would make chit chat, then one day the woman had told her "your more than that cancer". That was an incredible statement for me and I often apply that to things going on in my life. All of our "supposed" problems are not really who we are and once you don't give them that power to define you, you will find that they get pushed to the back of your mind and you can open up to the true experience and joy that is our lives.
Rating: Summary: Not As Advertised Review: Make no mistake - this book is about one thing: Dawna Markova. Based on the title and sub-title anyone would think this is a self-help book about reclaiming purpose and passion. Who wouldn't think that by looking at the title? It is nothing of the sort. This book is a memoir - nothing more, nothing less. It is interesting for what it is. Just understand that what it is - is not as advertised.

Rating: Summary: A Life-changing experience! Review: Not to be redundant, but this book changed my life. Written in a very moving, personal style by Dawna Markova, it described her journey (in a cabin in Utah at 8,000 feet) to identify and tap into her passion and purpose in life. Her stories and anecdotes are at once touching, sad, funny, inspiring, and unbelievably poignant, and they helped me start my own journey to discover what really matters to me, and how to shape a life that I love while doing what I am "meant" to do. I have read all of Markova's books, and though they're all important in one way or another, this one will probably have the biggest impact.
