Summary: One of the best books on chakras
Review: I agree with the reviewer below that it is a shame that this book is out of print. Most authors today on chakras, color healing, etc.. state the same ideas over and over again with no originality. This book contains the basic ideas with also many original and inspired ideas. Amber Wolfe presents a very synergetic mix of traditional shamamism, Wicca, and New Age thought that comes together very well. It might seem that these disciplines would not work together but it is this combination that makes this book so interesting. She uses archetypes and godforms for the various chakras/rays with body postures, key ideas, stones, runes, tarot cards and a whole slew of other correspondences. She also includes various rituals and exercises in working with this information. This is one of the few "New Age" books on this topic that is really worth your time or effort.

Review: This has been one of the most valuable tool-kits I have ever encountered in working with magic. Amber Wolfe's clear explanation of the rays and lights makes sense, and her application and extension of their use to many different magical systems is inspired.An example: She gives associations between the rays and the runes. I used her color association with the rune Uruz to magically strenghten my house through two hurricanes in 1995. In one case, a tornado destroyed a tree in front of the house, the screen door, and then some trees in the back yard. Yet the house was unharmed. I'm very saddened that this book is out of print, and I hope that it is reissued as soon as possible.
