Rating: Summary: A wonderful healing aid Review: As the title says, this is one of the best books I Have ever read. A Clarevoyant told me I had the psychic ability and it needed developing, he said I should read every book on mediumship I could get my hands on and this was the first book I read, it truely inspired my and answered many question. Rosemary is a wonderful gifted person and you feel as if you know her personally by the end of the book, she really opens her heart up to you. A must read for everyone, my husband and children would enjoy me reciting some of the storys from this book and it even got my 8 year old son interested in the spirit world
Rating: Summary: A Good Psychic! Review: I loved this book the moment that I picked it up. I fell in love with her spiritual view on the dead and even the living. I found her spirit guide, Grey Eagle to be interesting due to the fact that he answers alot of questions about the "otherside". Rosemary's Childhood with her Mother is very disturbing and brought me to tears but it is an important part of the book at the same time. I really recommend this book to anyone who wants to know what the otherside holds and to bring a little bit of peace to your heart and mind. This book really makes you think twice about your life and who you are and helps you deal with death of a loved one. Enjoy!
Rating: Summary: The Eagle and the Rose Review: My book club read the Eagle and the Rose this month with high expectations. We were sorely disappointed. We expected insightful and inspirational content. We found neither. Edgar Cayce and Carlos Castaneda's books did a much better job 20 years ago. We expected a well written narrative that would keep our interest. Instead we were bored, the writing so repetitive that most of my club members actually had to force themselves to plow through the book. And the last chapter written in the third person (as if the reader didn't know who the "little girl" would turn out to be) seemed overdone, to say the least. All and all, we were very disappointed.
Rating: Summary: I've met Rosemary and she is even better in person! Review: The Eagle and The Rose takes us on one woman's adventures into her experiences with the "spirit" world. Whatever one's thoughts are in regards to life after death, this book will certainly get your mind pondering about the realm of possibilities that each of us will one day encounter.Rosemary simply tells us what SHE has seen throughout her life. This book is not meant to sway one into believing that they too will be visited by a "ghost" or "lost soul". The purpose of this book, I believe, is to get in touch with one's own spirituality. The Eagle and The Rose is an enlightening adventure for all of us to read. There are no right or wrong answers, but as individuals we have the power to change our lives and start on a new path towards spiritual healing. Read with an open mind and truely enjoy the journey that Rosemary shares with her readers.
Rating: Summary: A Thoroughly Enjoyable Book Review: This very entertaining book came into my life at a time when I was developing my own psychic and channeling abilities. So I am pleased to say that Ms. Altea provided a role model for my own mediumship and writing career. I highly recommend it. The only drawback to this book? I can't prove this but I suspect some literary license was taken in recreating various scenes. For example: Does Rosemary really "see" guides and other people in the room with her, in the sense that most people see people and objects. Or does she see them in the mind's eye instead, as I and many psychics do? It's a minor point, probably only of interest to fellow channels such as myself. And at some point, I would love to sit down with Rosemary and chat about such things. But the average reader won't be bogged down by these minor particulars. And if you want a fun, uplifting, and heart-warming read? This is the book for you! Who knows? It might just inspire you to develop your own God-given mediumship abilities.
Rating: Summary: I now have a burning desire to contact my deceased son. Review: What a wonderful way to confirm my belief in life after death. I now am a believer that modern-day miracles are indeed real. Anyone who had any doubts must read this book. Rosemary has given the world proof that our loved ones who have passed away are safe and happy. I am confident that one day, with the help of a sincere medium, I will be able to contact my beloved son who died at the age of 19. Rosemary, thank you for sharing your gift with the world and giving us peace. Please contact me if possible.
Rating: Summary: For keeping an open mind.. Review: When I was a young teenager I could read a book straight through without putting it down. I've been missing that and then when I came to reading this book it re-occured; I couldn't put it down and there was that wonderful feeling again. Most of the time I am not on good terms with religion, it creates war if you ask me and therefor I also normally have a hard time reading books that mention God continously through out. However Rosemary has managed to get around my defenses when it comes to that and I could read this book openmindedly. Reading openheartedly is quite easy for me, but keeping an open mind about things, can be hard sometimes. I found myself respecting her description of what she felt was a God, it was opened enough for me to think of it as something else, anything that my mind wouldn't despise so much. Maybe it helps that her descriptions of certain happenings reminded me of my own experiences. In particular I liked her description of the ether body and then when she went on to tie that together with the "out of body experiences" when you are looking down on your own body - I thought it was phenomenal how well she described it. -If my words are different than the words used in the book, it's because I have read the Swedish translation of the book.. This is a book to discover yourself in, or to accept and respect yourself for who you are!
